Description
The legendary Moog transistor ladder filter for AE modular!
The circuitry of this filter is the core of the earliest modular synthesizers created by Bod Moog; known for its distinct, unique sound.
Technically, it’s a 24dB/octave lowpass filter; but this version additionally offers outputs for taps of each filter stage, offering 18dB, 12dB and 6dB/octave, each with its own sonic qualities.
The module offers
- three signal inputs; two of them with attenuators
- three control voltage inputs, two of them with attenuators
- controls for cutoff and resonance, of course
Note: The BOB FILTER sounds best with analog oscillators, like the VCO R2; the circuit has its own will somehow and sounds different e.g. with a digital generated sawtooth (like from 2OSC R2), although the waveform looks identical. Bob still takes care of that 😉
This module is available in two different looks:
Either one that resembles the classic Moog design (I couldn’t resist to do this!),
or in classic AE modular look.
You can find more information on the AE Modular Wiki. (to be done)
